Stephanie L. Depew has been part of Life Legal since before it officially looked like Life Legal. She first volunteered to design the firm’s logo for her sister, founder and attorney Taylor Gerchman, and somehow turned one creative project into a role that now touches nearly every part of the practice.
Steph handles case management and paralegal work, manages client communications, assists with intakes and helps shape Life Legal’s website, marketing, social media, videos, and educational content. As one of the first people many prospective clients speak with, she understands that life insurance disputes are not just legal problems. They are personal, emotional, and often overwhelming. She is committed to making people feel heard while helping translate a complicated process into language that makes sense.
Her dedication to Life Legal is personal. Steph has watched Taylor build the firm from the ground up and believes deeply in its mission to give families honest guidance, straightforward answers, and an advocate when an insurance company makes an already difficult situation even harder.
Outside of Life Legal, Steph is a high school English teacher, which may explain both her love of words and her inability to leave confusing language alone. She spends most of her free time with her children and her dog, reading psychological thrillers, watching documentaries, and convincing herself she will go to bed after just one more chapter.
